A la la la la long....

I spent my Friday listening to my reggae root Pandora station yesterday.

Ahhh, was dreaming myself away to Jamaica.. but uhm, back to the topic.

So today I came across Inner Circle "Sweat" (A la la long) music video.

What I noticed is that music has changed soooo much over the past 15 years (ok now I feel super old).

If you watch the video, you see everybody just having fun, laughing, dancing and enjoying life. 

In today's music videos it's all about "less is more" - factor. Half nekkid women, make up, sex, weaves, ass... all that BS.

 And "surprisingly", the music today has just decreased it's value (in my opinion).

Today's focus on image is greater than the actual music.

Man I miss the good old days, when MVT played music videos and pop ups...

How did we lose it all....?

The difference between UK and US pt. 1

My friend Sophia put me on to this song, and today I actually studied the video and came to the conclusion that UK music is so different from US music in so many ways (duh!).

What really hit me with this video is that Katy B (or Ms Dynamite) actually doesn't have to get half nekkid for the video to work. Unlike many US artists.

Majority of US artists and their videos somehow must incorporate ass, tits or any type of "sexiness" or else the video is considered a "flop".

And yes, I am taking in to consideration that US music is all about making money and less about the actual music. Sad times are ahead of us....

Anyways, make sure you listen to the song if you haven't already.

Beyonce - Countdown (video)

My favorite artist Beyonce released one of her dopest videos ever.

Audrey Hepburn, Josephine Baker, 60's swing, you name it, she got it!

The visuals are nice to watch, she looks good as usual and the song is dope!

Is it too early to call Bey a MILF? ^_^

Read an interview where LA Reid said that Beyonce is arguably, the most talented performer alive.

Damn right she is!

Maybe I missed the message for this video, but I absolutely think it was a waste video.

"Swim Good" is probably my top 3 favorite song by Frank Ocean, and he hit me off with this video? Boring to say the least.

Poor Keri Hilson is not catching up with Beyonce with her 10,000 views in a day.

Oh well, this is my favorite K Hilson song off the "No boys allowed" album. I just don't like that she is trying to be something she is not, and it clearly shows in her videos.

5 million hits in a day? Damn Beyonce, I see you.

I've heard many people say they don't like this song nor the video (but no they are not haters... ).

I actually like the song, the video didn't impress me as much. I like the way everything (boobs) stays in place when she shakes tho.... a trip to the gym ASAP!

Side note: interesting wardrobe !

Kelly Rowland - Motivation ft Lil Wayne

I've really been sleeping on this video! It's been out for over a month, yet I'm still waiting for it to come out... shame. Love this song, but I don't like how they put Lil Wayne's rap between her two verses. The radio version has his verse last. Oh well, at least the casting for this video must've been rather jolly ^_^

California King Bed video

I don't know if it's just me, but I feel as if all the songs off "LOUD" album have similar concept. This new video from Rihanna reminds me an awful lot of "Only girl in the world"... no?

"California King Bed" is one of the best tracks on the album but the video kind of disappoints me. The eyecandy definitely saved this video though ^_^

Word on the street is that "Man Down" will be the next release. My favorite song. I hope the video will be as dope as the song is. Can't wait.

They played this song when they went to the strip club in Vegas and it's stuck in my head.

Rihanna is back on the scene with another track off her "Loud" album.

This time she is bringing 'S&M' to out Tv screen.

'S&M' is like one of my favourite tracks of the album and the video is just enjoyable to watch.

When I first heard Kanye West's album "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" I was a bit skeptic to whether I'm approving this transformation Kanye is doing in his career. When I heard Chris Rock's skit at the end of "Blame Game", I approved. I even more so approved when I heard "Monster" feat Rick Ross, Jay Z, Nicki Minaj and Bon Iver. THIS IS MY JAM! Bon Iver's contribution is amazing!

Third single off his album and of course the videos will speculate illuminati talk but F* that.

Once again, my girl Ciara is at it again!
This girl is such a hard worker, and I really wish that she got more exposure and credit than she currently has.  I think this is the only music video I can remember having an Audi R8 in the video.
